Let me introduce you the co-founders of HeyBoss!
A/Prof McCormack is a clinical supervisor at the University of Newcastle, Australia, and Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Nottingham UK.
Her clinical work has spanned over three decades exposing her to unique stories of posttraumatic growth that emerged for many of her clients, despite exposure to horrific and catastrophic events. This has led to her research interest in the coexisting relationship between negative and positive effects of complex trauma primarily working with those exposed to complex high risk environments through their work or private lives, or political and family/childhood trauma.
With over 50 publications, her current research projects include: understanding burnout in the helping industries impacted by Covid-19 and helping to unravel the interface of trauma and growth following complex life experiences including the experiences of refugees, child sacrifice and trafficking, humanitarian and military deployment. Lynne is a psychosocial advisor to the Australian Red Cross and has deployed to many international crisis and nationally including the summer of 2019 bushfires.
I am a radiation oncology trainee based in Brisbane, Australia. One of my goals in medicine is to contribute to reshaping the healthcare landscape, so that workers feel safe, respected and supported. While policy and HR strategies in medicine are being reviewed and challenged in recent years, people need change too – we hope to make this platform into an interactive space we can share stories and learn from each other, to make our professional lives as meaningful and rewarding as our personal lives.
I am a radiation oncology trainee at Princess Alexandra Hospital and an associate lecturer at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. My professional journey has originated from my interests in anatomy, medical imaging and oncology.
During my professional career, inspiring and compassionate mentors have provided me with the guidance and support to overcome my own personal challenging times. I nurture my personal life through art to achieve a work-life balance.
I am delighted to be part of this team and to share my own experiences and stories to help others find the comfort and strength to go through their journey!
